Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home using a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house cash flow does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for nsfas login the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to offer the proper Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or intend to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until nsfas login the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
